Sh2-134 is a vast H II region which spans more than 140ly and is some 3000ly distant. It covers almost 5 degrees of sky in the constellation of Cepheus. Two brightest stars at the bottom of the image are ?Cep (bluish) and ?Cep. Brighter patch of the nebulosity above the line between ? and ? is Sh2-135. In the lower right quarter of the image Black Fish nebula is visible. It is a complex of dark nebulae obscuring the stars and nebulosity behind it. |
