M37 is the brightest star cluster in the constellation of Auriga. It is visible to the naked eye under favorable conditions. It contains more than 500 member stars. It is 4500 ly distant and it has diameter of about 25 ly. M37 is estimated to be between 350 and 550 million years old. |
