VdB14 and vdB15 is a pair of faint, but interesting reflection nebulae. They are a part of a large dust cloud in the constellation of Camelopardalis, shining in the reflected light of stars CS Cam (left on the image) and CE Cam (right on the image). Vdb14 is a nebulous patch beneath CS Cam, while vdB15 surrounds CE Cam. VdB15 has also a subtle emission component, marked by pale red on the outskirts of the nebula. The dust cloud vdB14 and vdB15 belong to is some 4000 ly distant. |
